How sharing works
Simple principle — producer generates, overflows are shared, consumer saves.
Producer generates
The photovoltaic plant (PV) generates electricity. What you consume yourself is yours. Overflows go to the grid.
Overflows are shared
Overflows from the producer are automatically allocated to community members through the distribution company (EDC).
Consumer saves
The consumer pays only the energy component for shared electricity (cheaper than from the supplier) and saves on energy costs.
Principle of electricity sharing
Electricity price consists of multiple components: energy component (the actual energy), distribution fees, taxes and other regulated charges.
When sharing within an energy community, you pay only the energy component for shared electricity — distribution fees and taxes remain the same as with your current supplier.
This means you can save on the most expensive part of your electricity bill without having to change your supplier.

Consumer price
1.50 CZK / kWh + up to 0.30 CZK fee
The producer receives a reward for every shared kWh. The consumer pays the energy component + an administrative sharing fee.
