The Autel MaxiEdge Controller is a site-level controller that manages and operates the entire battery energy storage system (BESS) from photovoltaic sources and EV charger ecosystem. The controller communicates with all inverters, battery management systems, and EV chargers at the site, collects feedback, and runs algorithms to optimize energy consumption.
The device is designed for integrated photovoltaic systems, BESS, and EV charging applications. Four models are available: EMU300 (basic) and EMU600 (full-featured) in both EU and NA variants.
The EMU600 includes a backup industrial PC (IPC2), redundant 24V DC power supply (DRDN), backup PSU (PSU2), optical terminal, and CAN gateway. Communication is handled via 8 RS485 channels, 2 CAN channels (US models), Ethernet 10/100BaseT(X), a 4G LTE router with dual SIM slots, and optional fiber optic (1000BaseSFP+).
Support for Modbus RTU/TCP, REST API, and MQTT protocols enables seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Remote maintenance is provided through the EMU platform for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and software updates.
